  13. DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
  14.        ssffllwwll  is a client program which requests contact informa­
  15.        tion from a server running the  Speak  Freely  Look  Who's
  16.        Listening server (ssffllwwlldd).  ssffllwwll allows users to find one
  17.        another and establish Speak Freely conversations  even  if
  18.        one  or  both  have dial-up Internet connections where the
  19.        host name and Internet address vary from session  to  ses­
  20.        sion.

  22.        Each  _u_s_e_r___n_a_m_e  is matched against the E-mail address and
  23.        full user name of active users who have informed the  Look
  24.        Who's  Listening site of their presence.  If the _u_s_e_r___n_a_m_e
  25.        occurs within either of these fields, the IP  address  and
  26.        port  on  which  matching  users are listening are listed.
  27.        Options allow different forms of output.

  29.        If the _u_s_e_r___n_a_m_e is preceded by an asterisk (*), only  ex­
  30.        act matches with the user's E-mail address are reported.

  32. OOPPTTIIOONNSS
  33.        --cc        Output  consists of the command line options for
  34.                  ssffssppeeaakkeerr to connect to  the  matching  user(s).
  35.                  For example, if you want to connect to a dial-up
  36.                  user  whose  E-mail  address  is  ssmmuuddlleeyy@@iinntteerr­­
  37.                  nnuutt..ccoomm, you can use the command:
  38.                     ssffmmiikkee --tt ``ssffllwwll --cc ssmmuuddlleeyy@@iinntteerrnnuutt..ccoomm``
  39.                  to  connect to that person, as long as he's cur­
  40.                  rently connected to an Internet service provider
  41.                  and  running  Speak  Freely, even you don't know
  42.                  the site name or IP address he's  been  assigned
  43.                  for the current session.

  45.        --dd        Enables debug output.

  47.        --hh_h_o_s_t_:_p_o_r_t
  48.                  The query is sent to the named host (and option­
  49.                  al port number, in case the host doesn't use the
  50.                  standard  port,  2076).  The --hh option overrides
  51.                  any  host  and  port  specified  by  the  SSPPEEAAKK­­
  52.                  FFRREEEE__LLWWLL__AASSKK   and/or  SSPPEEAAKKFFRREEEE__LLWWLL__TTEELLLL  vari­
  53.                  ables.

  55.        --ll        The list of hosts which matched the _u_s_e_r___n_a_m_e is
  56.                  shown  in  long  form, including all information
  57.                  the users supplied to the Look  Who's  Listening
  58.                  server.

  75.                  lishes the list of active users.

  80.        If no host (and optional port number) is specified,  ssffllwwll
  81.        will  use  the  host  and  port  specified  by  the SSPPEEAAKK­­
  82.        FFRREEEE__LLWWLL__AASSKK environment variable, if defined.  If  SSPPEEAAKK­­
  83.        FFRREEEE__LLWWLL__AASSKK  is  not defined, the host name is taken from
  84.        the SSPPEEAAKKFFRREEEE__LLWWLL__TTEELLLL variable used by ssffssppeeaakkeerr to iden­
  85.        tify its Look Who's Listening host.

  87. BBUUGGSS
  88.        The  number  of matching items returned is limited to what
  89.        will fit in a single 512 byte packet.  This is deliberate;
  90.        users  who  wish to browse active sites should consult the
  91.        HTML file published  by  the  Look  Who's  Listening  site
  92.        rather than make wild-card requests with ssffllwwll.
